Tooth Whitening Instructions

whitening before and afterYour whitening tray(s) are custom made to fit your teeth. A small reservoir has been fabricated on the front of the tray for each tooth to be whitened. This is where a very small amount of bleaching gel is to be placed. You will receive four syringes of whitening gel for each tray when your tray(s) are delivered.
•  Place a very small amount of gel in each reservoir.
•  Place tray(s) over teeth. If gel is expressed beyond the tray, use a tissue or cotton swab to remove excess. Excess gel can be irritating to your tissues. This is an indicator that too much gel was placed in the tray, reduce the amount used in the next application.
•  Clean trays after use by brushing with your toothbrush under warm water.
•  Store in case provided, away from pets.
•  Do not eat or drink for at least 30 minutes after use.
•  Try to avoid excess coffee, tea, dark sodas or red wine.
•  Wear your tray(s) for 1-2 hours each day. You may wear the trays overnight, but the most effectiveness is in the first 1-2 hours. Do not wear the trays overnight if you experience sensitivity.
•  If you should experience any sensitivity during this process, decrease use to every other day, and use Sensodyne toothpaste. If sensitivity persists, please contact our office.
•  Gel should be kept cool, store syringes in the refrigerator
